I thought the hotel was great for family and kids. I loved how their we're things on site to do with my kids. They enjoyed themselves as well. I think one of the best things was the indoor heated pool- amazing!!!

I did not like that their was no complimentary breakfast. Most hotels offer that but you literally have to pay a large amount for every meal. The buildings weren't surrounded by the main part either so it was a long walk for my young children.

Location was close to downtown! My two kids really liked the property as it had a nice pool and of course they loved all of the trains.

Our room was in building two. We were told when we checked in that we were lucky because we were in the newly renovated building and our room would be nice. This could not have been further from the truth! The bathroom was awful, the pillows were hard, the towels exfoliated my skin, and there was plaster all over the floor by the sliding glass door from were the latch was more then half of the wall. Since the latch was broken they had a PVC pipe cut to lay on the track so no one could open the door from outside as we were on the first floor. We paid $180.00 for one night. Save your money and stay somewhere else and go there to tour the property if you want to see the trains.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, but felt the place, cars, definitely need an upgrade. The price we paid was way too much. Disappointed that it costs what it did. I can see a little more than an average room, but $175 was way too much !!!!!!!!!! Probably wouldn't stay there again at that price. Didn't have time to discuss with management.

The location was great but I felt the room was over priced for what we received and also we were placed in a handicapped room and was not told in advance.

There were only one trash container in the room, the double beds were small and we would have perferred not to have been placed in a handicapped room if we had been told in advance.

Iwas disappointed to see plastic buckets sitting on the floor under what looked like a ceiling leak. there was a smell of mold in the lobby area of the building we stayed in.it seems as tho the hotel needs up grading. the room was ok nice clean no problems at all its the pool area and the lobby area.

        My child enjoyed your pool.

It was just a regular motel with a nice check in area. I paid $175 for one night in the motel for what I felt was a $40 room. I stayed in #3 with my family which smelled of alcohol, mold and garbage. I went to all five floors of the motel to the vending areas and none of the drink machines had drinks of any flavor in them. Apparently the pool does not close because the partiers at the pool went all night as well as what sounded like children running up and down the hallways late into the night. When the air conditioner kicked on it stayed on for 15 to 20 minutes and sounded like a airplane taking off the entire time.

I was really disappointed with the pools and hot tub. My kids were so excited to try all three of the pools. All of them were loaded with dirt on the bottom. The hot tub was the most offensive! The seating kept falling off- it seemed very old. The water temp was luke warm, and worst of all, there was a film of grease lining the whole tub. My kids didn't even want to step into it! I was very disappointed with our stay and would never go back.

The historic trainstation is nicely restored. Downtown can be easily reached with a free shuttle service. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The hotel has indoor and outdoor pools.

We stayed there a few years ago. Ever since the grand children dont want to stay any where else & really we dont either. We love it.

The well-maintained HIstoric architecture was amazing. There were lots of things to do within the property. I love the proximity to the surrounding activities in Chattanooga and the electric bus that takes you throughout the city. Awesome!!

The pool area could have been updated a bit, but glad it had one.

Just the history of the place

Everything is extra so be prepared. Our room flooded, the carpet was sodden ,we rang reception and they sent maintainence, he unscrewed something to do with the a/c and we walked about on wet towels. The thing is he knew where the problem was so why was it not fixed in the first place?the room had a strange smell, no wonder if it floods repeatedly. They had offered to move us but we felt it was too late......just fix it Next night went up the road, paid $125 less and had a great sleep

The pool and gardens were nice. The hotel staff were understanding and did their best to make us happy with what they could do. I like that our kids at the time my family went, got to eat free at the gardens. The food there is very good and the service was excellent. We enjoyed the fact that we had a shuttle ride to the aquarium from the hotel, it was nice.

When we first got there we were not aware of the hotel being under renovation. There wasnt a lot of noise but it would have been nice to know. The first room was a mess. The beds werent made completely and the bathroom had mold and peeling ceilings and the carpet was pulled up in the corners and the tv didnt want to work. It took maintence over an hour to respond. The manager did appoligize and moved us to a new room, which was much better in looks and the tv worked, however the beds werent comfortable in either room. Is expensive for what you get and has no accomidations.

        The history was unique.

Sheets were wrinkled and appeared as though the sheets may not have been changed from the last visitor.

It's kitschy but that's part of it's charm! The lobby area is great--real history. The restaurant , especially for breakfast is light, airy, good and cheap! Great place for kids!

the outside of the buildings where the rooms are desperately need a redo...very ugly and institutional--especially after seeing the great lobby area!

        Original location.

The hotel, I was staying in No 3, seems run down, and not well maintained. The carpet, the bathroom have seen better times. Do not count on quiet evening, there was quite significant noise from the pool area until 11 pm. The price is to high for the quality of the room I had.
